Child Protection Program

Sambhav Trust

Sambhav Trust has created Child Protection and Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in 20+ schools in collaboration with the District Child Protection Department to raise awareness and interact with students on prevalent issues.

Child Trafficking

We educate students about child trafficking, highlighting potential situations that may put them at risk. We conduct informative sessions to empower them to recognize and avoid these dangers, creating awareness to protect themselves. Recently, we organised a Child Protection Awareness program at St. Joseph High School, Torpa, to address and resolve issues related to child safety. By raising vigilance and understanding around this issue, we contribute to reducing instances of child trafficking, helping create a safer environment for vulnerable children and empowering them with knowledge for their protection.

Addiction

We address the pressing issue of addiction among children from marginalized communities by raising awareness about its harmful effects. Our educational sessions help them understand the serious impact addiction can have on their physical and mental health, as well as on their personal lives. We aim to support them make informed choices and steer these young individuals toward healthier, more fulfilling paths and reduce the prevalence of addiction in their

Child Marriage

Child marriage remains a serious issue in tribal communities, where financial obstacles often prevent families from affording educational expenses. Many parents, especially of girls, choose marriage over schooling, leading to early marriages that contribute to health complications and even premature deaths. We believe communities should understand these risks, so we conduct awareness programs on the dangers of child marriage and its impact on girls’ health, advocating for education and healthier futures.

Child Abuse

Raising awareness about child abuse is a crucial focus of our Child Protection Unit. We educate children on concepts like “good touch and bad touch” and help them recognize situations that may lead to uncomfortable or harmful experiences. Our primary goal is to ensure every child enjoys a safe, happy, and healthy childhood, empowering them with the knowledge to protect themselves and fostering a supportive environment for their well-being.

Child Labour

Along with child marriage, child labour also comes hand in hand as financial hardships push children to support their families economically. To combat this issue, our Child Protection Unit organizes interactive programs to raise awareness about the harms of child labor. These programs educate both children and families on the importance of education and the long-term impact of childhood labour, aiming to protect children’s rights and promote a future where they can thrive safely and freely. We also have provided 130+ Govt. scholarships in collaboration with CWC, Jharkhand.
